When the story is told

Presented at the Domaine seigneurial Sainte-Anne, the exhibition summarises the key events of the rich past of the Seignorial Estate. From the changes made to the buildings, to the exceptional events that happened there, through the rumours surrounding its famous residents, you will discover many secrets buried on the premise.

Confessions of an Old rectory

Since 1816, the old rectory has been a witness to Quebec’s rural history. Pay close attention to the whispers that arise… Will you be fortunate enough to capture some Confessions from the lips of those former residents?

Wood flour

The “Wood flour (Farine de bois)” exhibit, located in the sawmill of the Moulin seigneurial de Pointe-du-Lac, plunges you into the life of past century woodworkers. Built in the 1940’s and used until the middle of the 1980’s, the Brothers of Christian Instruction’s sawmill is a typical artisanal built from its era. Its hydropower actioned mechanisms can still be reactivated, much to the delight of visitors.

Take a dive into history and come visit our 3 historical jewels, located in the Mauricie region. Along the Chemin du Roy, get to explore the expressive mechanisms of the Moulin seigneurial de Pointe-du-Lac, meet the priest at the Vieux presbytère de Batiscan, and discover buried secrets at the Domaine seigneurial Sainte-Anne.

These 3 magnificent sites, combining heritage, nature and culture, merely await your arrival for their story to be told!
